Donations
Donations have always helped to increase hospital funds. Donations help to provide extra clinical facilities, specialist medical equipment, and improvements to the environment for both patients and visitors. We also use donations to help finance medical research and staff development.
If you would like to make a donation please make cheques/postal orders payable to Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals General Charitable Trust and send them to the Director of Finance, Charitable Funds Department, Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust, Castle Hill Hospital, Castle Road, Cottingham, HU16 5JQ.
Under the Gift Aid regulations the Trust is permitted to reclaim the tax on donations. This equates to £0.28 for every £1.00 donated. In order for us to reclaim the tax, we need a Gift Aid declaration form signed by the donor. These forms are available from the Finance Department at the address given above.
Cash donations can be made at the General Office in each hospital (please do not send cash through the post).
You can let the Charity Trustees decide, or you may wish to specify how we use your donation. You can choose between:
- General purposes
- Patient welfare and amenities
- Staff welfare and amenities
- Research and development
If you would like to talk to someone about making a donation, please telephone 01482 622455.
