Trust Structure

This document shows the Trust’s management structure. The Trust has adopted a business unit structure, with 9 business units in total, 7 of which are clinical business units.

Trust Board

The Trust Board is the Board of Directors of the Trust, who are collectively accountable for the Trust. The Trust Board sets the strategic direction (the ‘direction of travel’) for the Trust over the coming years and ensures that the Trust has high standards in clinical care, financial stewardship as well as responding to the health needs of the population it serves.

Our Trust Board comprises 12 Board members with voting rights and 3 additional Directors. Every Trust Board is required to have a Chairman and a mix of Non-Executive and Executive Directors. The Non-Executive Directors, who make up the majority of the Trust Board, give an independent voice to the Trust Board and provide a high level of scrutiny to all aspects of the Trust. They bring to the Board a wide range of professional and business experience.

Trust Board Meetings
Our Trust Board meets in public quarterly. All members of the public and staff are welcome to these meetings.
