A team of specialist technicians provide
fast response for breakdown and planned maintenance on all major
treatment equipment. The team carry out basic quality assurance and
dosimetry testing and IT system support within Oncology.
The Medical Physics mechanical
workshop facilities are co-located with Radiation Physics, providing
both maintenance support and development capability.
We maintain a good working relationship with the equipment manufacturers
by a collaborative maintenance agreement, which means our staff are
trained to high standards and available at short notice to minimize
equipment downtime, with regular visits from the manufacturer to ensure
that quality and safety issues are promptly addressed.
